Shock (2006 film)

Shock Telugu is a 2006 Telugu film directed by Harish Shankar. The film stars Ravi Teja and Jyothika. It was produced by Ram Gopal Varma. It was released onFebruary 2006. The movie is dubbed in Hindi as Kick Returns . The movie has been an inspiration for 2011 Kannada film Prince 2011 film.

Ram Gopal Varma was planning to produce a film with Ravi Teja in the direction of Prawaal Raman Darna Mana Hain fame in Telugu. Jyotika was also signed as heroine by then. Since Prawaal Raman was a Hindi guy, Ravi Teja wanted a Telugu guy in direction department. He suggested Harishs name as a codirector to Ram Gopal Varma. Harish and Kona Venkat went to Mumbai to listen to the story. RGV gave the narration and Harish told RGV that the script is very good, but wont suit Ravi teja. RGV told him you came from Hyderabad after assisting a couple of films and passing judgment on my story like a pundit. But I like your guts because you spoke frankly without trying to be a sycophant. Since you worked with Ravi Teja and know what works for him, I am willing to offer you a direction chance. Kona insisted Harish to accept this project.
